Kyushu { #7 Kitsuki } ~ On the way to Shikoku ~
During Edo Period in 1603~1868, Kitsuki is developed as a castle town - an important political and economic hub of the region. This town is famous for its old village houses and unusual slopes and hills. As the town centre is 30 minutes away from the train station, I am not able to head into the centre. However, walking around the station is still very fun and free.

A traditional looking station.

Next to the station is a stone tori gate.
Train doesn't run pass the town so often,
therefore walking along the tracks is safe upon arrival.
It totally reminds me of the train tracks in Taiwan Jiufen as well.

Time Arrangement
Although I haven't been to the city centre, but walking around the town probably takes a half day - visiting museums and houses.
